Why doesnt Duck Hunt or other NES gun games work on my TV?
So I have an original NES. The light gun works as I have used it recently on other peoples TVS but for whatever reason, it doesnt work on mine. Does it have anything to do with it being a widescreen high-def LCD TV? Does the light gun not work on these types of TV's?

No, the light gun only works with older tube-type tv's which work by firing pulses of energy at the front (screen side) of the tube, and the light gun reads the frequency of these pulses to tell the game whether or not you hit your target. Newer flat-screen tv's work on a different principal so the light gun can't read it.

maybe not. I have no idea how the light gun works though.
That sucks, I am going to have to try it on my LCD soon.
