Which one of these settings will give me a better picture on my HDTV?

If I have an accessory that hooks up to my choice of VGA or Component, which would give a better picture?

Would it be the VGA at 1280x1024 or would it be the component at 1080i ???

Update:

So if I go with the component set-up, should I use the 1080i or go with 720p?

I'd put 1080i its must better.

    All HDTV have this.

With 1080i you get a clear noise and better picture

Use the component cable. VGA is video only and will not produce sound. VGA is also analog and what you want is digital (component).
