Are we headed towards a catastrophe?
John McCain is the Rebuplican frontrunner. He is all for a pathway to amnesty. We all know the Dems are. What do you think?
Presidential contender John McCain has become the Grand Old Party's front man after winning South Carolina's primary, analysts say.
As the 2008 White House race heads to Florida, Senator McCain seems to have gained support among Republicans and is ready to forget his bitter defeat to George W. Bush in 2000.
"You know, it took us a while," McCain told jubilant supporters Saturday at a victory celebration in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Arizona Senator is said to have enough momentum now from victories in New Hampshire and South Carolina to make Florida a must-win.
"I still think this is very competitive," added 71-year-old McCain.
Analysts believe the outcome achieved in the deeply religious state is a major setback for former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, a former Baptist minister, as well as multi-millionaire Mormon businessman Mitt Romney.

Well, if McCain getting elected is a long shot I think. But if amnesty does happen, and America goes down the crapper because of it, all us anit-illegal anti-amnesty folks can tell him "I told you so" Then I can compare him to Bush.
Amnesty and McCain are like drugs, "Just say No"

As you look at the states where they have had primaries, you discover they are very much states that want the illegal aliens. Florida Orange Juice? The growers in California, are also the Growers in Texas, and also the Growers in Florida. If you look at New Hampshire, you discover the New Hampshire Legislature was passing a law that made drivers licenses acceptable for illegal aliens.
================================
To this point, McCain has not gotten Republican Votes. He is getting cross over independent votes. In many states now, you can now vote in the primary you want, and then decide who you support at the election time. Notice the independents are selecting the most moderate candidate in those states that want the illegal aliens. Miami, by the way, is predominately Cuban, and they want their special laws maintained. Rudy, with his very moderate policy toward illegal aliens did not do well because he was even harsher than McCain.

A lot is yet to happen. Romney and Huckabee should be doing very well in the coming primaries. I believe McCAin won't.
On the other hand, I will panic along with you in ten minutes.

Normally I would be worried about something like this, but for the first time in a long time our voices were heard in Congress on his original plan.
It died a death I had not seen in my lifetime. It is rare that a bill of that magnitude has come up for a vote and almost the whole country was against it.
We are going to get our fence and as for those who are here, well they are ways of dealing with that, but they are not going to be very popular on the left.
It is time we punish the employers and this will come to an end. All you have to do is look at the "National Do Not Call" list and how it killed telemarketing.
A similar fine for employing an illegal will take care of this problem, as well.
P.S. If it makes you feel any better, the number of people registering their anchor babies for Mexican citizenship is going through the roof.
These parents are seeing the writing on the wall and they are heading back home. They have to get the kids their Mexican citizenship so they can go to school in Mexico.

I think. I think I am. Therefore I am... I think.
That's what I think.
What I think about RepulBlicans is that they won't win. G W screwed it up to bad for them. Only the richest people in USA would vote republican, and they're a minority. They know they won't win. They're just spending the money.
'Dems' will win.
I remember seeing pictures of a guy wearing a sign that said, "The world will end tomorrow". I've always wondered it the world did end for him the next day. Time for the rest of us has marched on. And it will regardless of politics.

Romney is the frontrunner. McCain is a RINO not a republican. Romney has more delegates. It's also now a statistical dead heat between McCain and Romney in Florida...and just last week Romney wasn't even in the top 3 there.

I wouldn't say he the front runner. Mitt Romny has more delegates. it's going to be a close race in the end.
