Is it possible to enable IM on Y/A but with a different address?

I want to enable my IM but I never use my yahoo IM. on the e-mail me feature I'm able to use a different e-mail address other than yahoo's, Can I do the same for IM?

I'd appreciate any help thank you!

......I'm talking about my Y/A's profile, not IM in general
