You'll need to look up the xbox broken console hotline, which your should be able to find on their website (xbox.com). Then you can send in your xbox free of charge for a brand new one. But you will not beable to make a trade like you asked in your queston unless you have a store warrenty and in that case you would need to quiery the store manager. Hope that helps.

i dont think they do that. you can call them at 1800 4 my xbox and ask. if you were able to do that i would think people would intentially fry their 360 to get a better one. one thing i got out of owning a 360 is there customer support is good and they do fix your stuff, even if it only lasts for a little while

but the downloaded content will not be shared with other accounts due to the account is not native to the xboxes id codes
