Laptop Choice, Links included! PLEASE HELP ASAP?

I have £200 to spend on a laptop and i have found 2 on Ebay

I would just like a second opinion on both the Dell D600 and the Toshiba Satellite

Toshiba

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOSHIBA-SATELL...ayphotohost...

Dell

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DELL-D600-LAPT...QQcmdZViewI...

I have a spare 40GB HDD at home i am going to use if i get the Toshiba.

Please take into account cosmetic damage, use etc

I realize the satellite will need a Charger and probably a new battery.

Im having trouble ID'ing the Toshiba to a specific model number so i can look it up, could anyone help with this?

WHAT ONE SHOULD I GO FOR?

Do NOT buy a Dell. Ever.

Personally, I prefer Macintosh. I have had every brand of computer out there. The only ones that gave me so many problems that I wanted to run them over with my car was the Dells. Customer Service sucks for them, too. So when they inevitably break down, you have to jump through hoops with a person who is hard to understand for 3 hours.

Buy an Apple. I've had a cheap little Apple MacBook since 2003. That's five years. I used it as my primary computer through college. I took it to class, to the beach, etc. I used it to write every report, assignment and surf the web. I used it to write my 300 page thesis. You know what? It never broke down, never pooped out, never lost anything. I still use it today. It's got stickers all over it, scratches, dents and dings. It's been dropped, thrown (due to college thesis frustration), and stepped on. It was even stolen, but I got it back.

    Seriously. But an Apple.
