Is anyone terrified of snakes of all kinds as I am?

OMG!!! I hate snakes!!! Eeew I'm getting all jumpy thinking about them. They are very very very scary!

It is a bit normal to be scared of snakes it is a common phobia.

I have nightmares a lot about snakes. But mostly only if I see one or if I watch a movie with them in it. I had this one nightmare one time after I watched this snake movie on Scifi. I dont know what it was called but it was about this town being infected with these snakes who were highly poisonous because two different poisonous breeds mated and had like a billion of these things. And they were attacking people.. Im sorry for telling you this...I hope it didnt scare you or freak you out. It was really scary though. I kept thinking there were snakes in my room and I didnt want to get off my bed.lol

A lot of people say you can get over your fear of snakes by holding one. All I can say to that is I DONT THINK SO! I am NOT holding one, or touching one.

My parents use to make me go in the repltile house too, I hated it. One time I stepped on something in there and I thought it was a snake and ran out.

I like to go into the reptile house, but only for the little monkeys at the end. I love monkeys. I usually close my eyes so I dont see the snakes.

I dont know my reason for being terrified of them, except they are scary and they can bite you and kill you....yuck!

I dont care what kind of snake it is, even if its the nicest snake youll ever meet. Im not going anywhere near it...

#1- I have never in my life been afraid of snakes.

#2- Have you ever thought of how terrified snakes may be of you? The only reason there are so many deaths by poisonous snakes is because there are so many dumb people who think they can just pick up a rattlesnake with gloves on and not be bitten by it. The only reason snakes even bite in the first place is because they are afraid!!!! (or they are eating but there are very very very few snakes that can manage eating a person.

#3- I frickin' stepped on a timber rattlesnake in West Virginia! I did not get bitten, and i do not have a displaced and irrational fear of snakes, because it was an accident and i am very glad and respect the snake for not biting me.

#4- and i am now the proud owner of a ball python named elliot! suck on that!

No, I'm not scared of snakes. When I used to work in the petshop I used to get the baby corn snakes out to hold, they were very cute!

Although I am afraid of wild snakes and I have had nightmares before. i can see why someone would be scared of any type of snake because they are strange creatures, can bite and move so quickly.

Fear of snakes is a common phobia and I don't know why I fear them but, a phobia is an irrational fear.

I love snakes i think there cute and ive always wanted one, ive never feared them but i hate spiders and i have had nightmares about them

Na, I really like snakes, always have. I have a massively huge phobia of bees and wasps though. i cant stand them, they sting (and wasps 4 no reason), the buzz and theyre just scary! I know its a bit pathetic but everytime in summer something buzzes near my ear i literally scream and run off, i cant help it i just automatically do it incase its a bee. people tell me to keep still but i really cant coz im so scared that if they land on me it will sting me.

YES I freaking HATE HATE HATE snakes!!! I have had nightmares about them, it even scares me to watch nature shows about them! I had an encounter with a snake when I was little in my yard...My dog attacked it for me, but it turns out it was just a snakeskin! I really hate the ones that live in water in the Amazon or whereever...Anaconda's??

I am also terrified of: Clowns, needles, and monkeys.

I was terrified of snakes until i held one...they are really not that bad...I think another thing I am beginning to fear is spiders...

I love snakes, I currently own six of them and I am getting a few more in a few months. you shouldn't be afraid of them because they are truly awesome animals. I don't know why people are afraid of them?
