Why the boiling point of carbon tetrachloride is higher than that of methanol?

My teacher says Methanol has higher b.p. due to Hydrogen-bonding. But it is not true! So, what's the reason behind the higher b.p. of CCl4 over methanol?

however molecules of ccl4 do not attract each other as strongly, as in the case of methanol, the boiling point depends on the molecular weight also which is much bigger in the case of ccl4

Simply put, mass. Carbon tet is a highly massive compound, and boiling point generally increases with mass. Methanol does have a higher bp than methane because of hydrogen bonding though.

things with high boiling points mean that its bonds are hard to break and those with low boiling points mean that the bond are weaker higher boiling points=stronger bonds
