I own a Canon PowerShot A530 Digital camera and I am interested in capturing RAW images using it. Can I do it? How?

How to do it???

I heard that sin (x²) is a Non-integrable function. What does that mean?

I tried solving it as follows:

put x² = t.

Hence, 2x dx = dt

dx = 1/2x dt

dx = 1/2√t dt

So,

∫sin (x²) dx = ∫(1/2√t) sin t dt

Which can be integrated by parts (twice) and resubstituting t = x². What's wrong in it?

My teacher says Methanol has higher b.p. due to Hydrogen-bonding. But it is not true! So, what's the reason behind the higher b.p. of CCl4 over methanol?

Suppose you are standing on ground floor of a two-storey building. In front of you, there is an electric-switch board with three switches on it. On the second floor, three bulbs are present, which are connected to the switch board. The order between switches and bulbs is NOT one-to-one. By going up on the second floor only once (1 time), how will you decide, which switch is connected to which bulb?!

C'mon... they aren't the hardest ones!

I have a Sony Mini Hi-Fi HMC-VX550 system (3 VCD changer (NO MP3 and DVD!), Tuner Band, 2 channel output with 2x5" woofers + 2x5" subwoofers in 2 wooden enclosures).

As it doesn't support MP3 and DVD; and when I heard music on 5.1 ch with Dolby® Pro Logic II, I went mad for it. and so, we bought a new Philips DivX player with 5.1 ch output. But it doesn't have a built-in amplifier.

Now, I'm willing to buy a 5.1 channel home theatre system. But my mum just loves that Sony and keeps saying, "it has got GOOD quality, it's Sony and we have bought it so expensive (abt 20,000Rs./600$, 5 years back!) and I won't let you throw it off, bla bla."

So, my question is, what shall I do now?! I seriously don't wanna throw off the Sony Player and I'd like to use its V-Sync amplifier and GOOD quality speakers.

But what about 5.1 ch??!

Shall I get 3.1 ch home theatre (is it available?!) for centre and rear L/R + 1 subwoofer and attach the Sony to front L/R??

Please help me out!

I encountered these words regarding reflection of simple harmonic progressive wave.

In detail, it was written,

"...Consider a crest of a transverse wave of a string incident normally on on a wall. As crest cannot travel further, wave velocity is reversed. Now, the particle of the wall at which the crest is incident is not free to vibrate. Therefore, reflection takes place in such a way that the particle velocity is also reversed. Reversal of particle velocity causes a change of phase of pi rad. Hence, crest is reflected as trough..."

Such explanations are given regarding troughs, and also longitudinal waves.

Are these velocities i.e. particle velocity and wave velocity, different from each other?

What are they actually?

Please explain.

When I open TC++, the PC suddenly goes slow; that even we cannot type or move the cursor fast. The cursor moves to the destination after about 400-500 ms. It is so incovenient to use and takes about 10 mins to write and compile a small program of 30 lines!!

* Why this occurs in Windows® XP SP-2 only, and not in Windows® 98 SE?

* Is there any solution for this?

p.s. This problem occurs only in my P III 866 MHz PC and a friend's P4 1.7 GHz PC. And for my dad's AMD Athlon XP 2400+, CPU usage only goes upto 40-50%. This thing makes me more confused!!

I am doing a very simple project about an AND gate (74LS08) using a power supply of 5V (battery eliminator) and a 5mm, 1.8V (red) LED.

What should be the value of resistance?

Should I connect it in series or parallel with LED?

Is there any formula to calculate the output voltage useing resistor when input voltage is given?

I have an audio data with sample rate 8000.

It's actually recorded from mp3 player.

I want to resample and equalize it above frequency 4 kHz.

As it is now with sample rate 8000, I can't equalize it correctly, as I want.

I use Audacity 1.2.4b. Answers related to Audacity are preferable.
