What do you do to make this world a better place?

Every person can do something daily to help make it better. It doesn't need to be something big or expensive, it just needs to effect 1 person each day.

I volunteer and do alot to contribute to the greater good already, but on a daily basis, the simplest thing i do is say hello and ask strangers how they are doing. I especially try to single out those that look stressed out, pissed off, with eyes downcast.

A cure for cancer and the hunger in children. Now let me tell you this. The world as it is, it's fine for the most part. There are just a few things a person would change like cancer or certain things you can't really control and can make the world better. But for the most part, poverty, education, discrimination, racism, wars, religion discrepancies or employment opportunities, social status, financial status, income level or divorce rate, those are things that a person can perfectly control and depends on yourself, basically your mind-set or the world you have made and choose to live. At some point in life we all have the same opportunities to change things, people later take their direction, the ones who decided to be poor just go in that direction to be poor and that's obvious, the ones who decide to be divorced or have an unhappy marriage take that direction as well specially the ones who decide to be co-dependent or victims of domestic abuse, it's their choice to be there, so is not much an outside who doesn't belong to that world, would have any interest to change, since that's the way they have decided to live. A person without education has the chance to change that but it doesn't, so there is no need to worry if that person later doesn't have job opportunities, it's been that persons choice to be where that person is.

If you want to change the world, change yourself and see the whole bunch of opportunities and ways of living life you can choose from, then go for it, make a route and take it, it's the best way a person has to live in the world the person wants to live, then there are the other group, the one deserves respect, who will just wish the world will change and spend their life with hopes or with their eyes close by choice, there isn't much you can expect, if you don't really do anything about it. Even if someone gives half a million dollar to a poor person, in a year or two, that money is gone, because the person decided to not to have it, it was poor before, for that person's choice, so if that's the person's choice, an outside can't change it.

The same goes for victims of all kinds including crime, if you get robbed at an atm at 5 am like happens and they pointed a gun at you, it's been your choice, why you would go at 5 am by yourself?, that's a victim by choice, not necessarily being naive, it's stupid, and stupid by choice.

The concept here is, want the world change?, just change yourself, it will be faster to see the change or probably the only way to see it happening.

I try to present myself as a pleasant person...I'm shy in social situations, but I do like to talk and try to chat with people whenever I work up courage just to see how their day is going

I drive safely. I never procrastinate to find myself in a hurry.

I give money to charity when I find myself with a little left over.

I'm sure I do even more, but I can't remember all of it at this time.
