Can you believe tomorrow is Feb 2, Groundhog Day? Will the groundhog see his shaddow? If he does, so what?

I love Groundhog's Day because it's my birthday eve.

I'm pretty sure the groundhog will see his shadow and scamper back into his cozy home. We've had a nasty winter and I think we haven't seen the last of it yet.

Six more weeks of winter. The Phil character lived the same day over enough times to figure out how to be a decent human being....so ten years sounds about right. It takes some people longer than others. I really loved that film, especially the part where he is sitting in the parlor with all the elderly folk unshaven and in a robe, rattling off the answers to Jeopardy on TV.

Groundhog day does conjure thoughts of spring. It'll be here before we know it!

I can feel Spring all around me in Mississippi...no shadow...planting time.

With all of the lights and TV cameras around him, how can he not see his shadow???
