Why does Sarasota, Florida report a humidity of 39 percent at 12:15 am on 4/2/21 when it's clearly almost raining, it's so wet out?

Updated 5 days ago:

They do this a lot, typically late at night.

I'll go with billrussell's third reason. Meteorological instruments are often placed in airports. I assume that you don't live in one.

    several possibilities.

    1. your perceptions are off, it is actually low humidity

    2. the reports are wrong

    3. the reporting point is far from your location and thus irrelevant.
