Mitt Romney seems to be good on illegal immigration, as in he doesn't want amnesty. People have said that if illegal immigrants leave the economy will drop, There have been a few cases where people thought that if we got rid of someone our economy would drop. Here are some examples. When the slave laws where removed, people said their farms would rot, we got through it. When child labor laws were enforced, factory owners said they're factories would shut down, again we got through it. Lastly in California a man said that if illegal immigrants were deported there would be rotting tomato's in his fields. What happened was he found a more efficient way of harvesting his crops and got more not less.

The biggest problem is that it seems nearly all the Presidential Candidates seem to support some sort of Amnesty. They can use terms like "temporary workers" until they're blue in the face, but it all comes out the same. I am somewhat surprised that good old Juan McCain is getting as much support as he is,when he was the biggest Amnesty supporter of them all.

This voter is not in support of amnesty but I am resigned to the fact that there will be some sort of it. Why? Because Congress has shown no inclination to do anything. All the enforcement of our laws have been left up to state and local discretion. That tells me something.

There are some people, mainly democrats, who believe that we were founded on the premise of immigration and that we as a compassionate nation, allow them to reside within our borders..plus they are more likely to vote for them, illegally of course.

I've heard the arguement that they do the jobs American's won't. That is simply not true, they do the jobs American's wont do....for the money...

There needs to be a border fence, so everyone who wants to come into this country can be documented.

Probably as a matter of practicality. We couldn't possibly round up all the illegals. Something needs to be done. Enforcing the border is necessary, but beyond that - I don't know.

What no one wants you to figure out is. If the criminals who broke into your country are given any legal status they must be paid the same as any legally employed person. The people who are admittedly taking advantage of criminals who cannot work legally will be forced to pay the criminals at least minimum wage. Any benefit we were getting in cost will be eliminated.

I could go on but this is the most important part to understand. The only way to maintain the status quo is to maintain the status quo.

Source(s): Round them up and send them back. Keep Americans working.

Because we really rely on immigrants being in the US from the price of produce to small business.

If every illegal alien left this country tomorrow our economy would collapse. We would be sneaking into Mexico to work illegally
