How did I violate the community guidelines???

The question was how a student could make money writing. My answer was deleted for violating the community guidelines. First time I've had a problem in answering thousands of questions. What's wrong with it?

Deleted Answer: Check out the suggestions at this site: http://teenmoneymakingideas.com/how-a-resourceful-... http://hubpages.com/hub/Make_Money_Writing_for_the... You can also write a book and self-publish it at lulu.com. They don't charge any money up front. Promote your book and people buy it directly from lulu's website. You get a percentage of the sales. My aunt has done two books this way. Maybe you could write a guide for your school or humor or fun-things-to-do in your area.

advertising is counted as spam. You were "promoting" a website and that was against the rules, though personally, from my point of veiw, that wasn't nearly as bad as some of the other answers I see on here.

It was construed as advertising (or spamming). Promoting anything on this site is prohibited under the Community Guidelines. Yes, there was something wrong with it. Now you see how you got your answer deleted.

It may have been thought of as spam. But don't feel bad. I got suspended for no reason and this is my new account. My little brother used my account to ask about Runescape [how I curse that world now!] Now I go from level 5 to starting all over again!

It's quite likely you'll never really know what happened. It's happened to me before too, for responses that were completely harmless. I've learned to hide my personal info if someone should click on my avatar. I understand that old material can be manipulated to use against you in the present.

    No idea, really.

The same thing happened to me and the only thing I asked was how did it smell where one was and I stated that where I am it smells like wet dirt because it had rained.

    It's considered "Spam"...

    But don't worry, you're back -

I can't believe 'someone' reported you

and yet other people will swear on here,

trash others, and NOT get reported...?!

    And thanks, Derailed...:-)
