mail is missing from acct. states there are X number and then there aren't that many.?
I'm being told that I have a certain number of messages, but they aren't all there. Where are they? I don't have any extra folders set up. I also get the pop up box in lower right corner announcing mail, but when I go to read it, it may not be in the in box. What is happening to some of my messages?

The first answerer is correct-- also there is the thing I have found that if I get an alert and I click "ok" instead of "go to message" (or whatever it says) and then later go through to Yahoo! Mail in another way, it will still say on the alerts that I have X number of messages-- because I didn't clear it through the alert system.

This is a problem Yahoo is having with the messenger and the new mail at this time Some don't get alerts at all. I know it aggravating. Yahoo is aware of this as many have reported it to them..
