It could well be possible your bub is teething you poor things! My bub's tooth came down & then went back in again - weird. They can also hurt when they are moving around inside the gums. A water filled teething ring might help - especially if kept in the fridge first. Unfortunately there isn't much on the market that I know of that you can give to babies under 3 or 4 months. Maybe talk to your doctor about what you can use if you're getting desparate. I hope this is just a phase & will pass to haunt you again in a few months. If not, hang in there - lots of hugs and cold teethy things!!!

    4 Weeks Old Baby

Yup, babies can teeth at 4 weeks. rarely, some are born with teeth. If you are concerned about using something like ora-gel for teething, they make teething rings (in the baby isle) that you keep cold and let baby suck on it. Cold reduces swelling in little gums. Where is your pediatrician? If you have a good one, they should answer all your questions. Also, there is an excellent book out call, your baby birth to age 1.

Hi, first of congrats to your sister on the new baby!!!!!!

I think every baby is different with the age they start to teeth at, I've heard of babies actually being born with teeth! So, it may not be too young.

I read on the internet a few natural remedies for teething pain such as putting a damp washcloth in the freezer and then letting the baby chew on it,

My baby chews on a cold peeled raw carrot! Or my finger!

If this doesnt settle the baby, I think There is a certain type of painkiller for young babies that your sisters paedetrician can perscribe, because I remember being given it when my baby had a fever at 2 months old.

    Hope this is helpful....

it's possible that she's teething... some babies can get teeth early - I got my first tooth at 6 weeks old, or some babies can teethe for months before they get teeth. Try teething rings, cold cloths or anything else that the baby can chew on, it'll be a big help.

It is possible but not probable she would be cutting teeth this young. Maybe she is preparing to cut teeth? Well humphry's and hylands make all natural teething pills that are safe and effective( at 4 weeks i would ask a dr first).Try cold teething toys and plenty to bite on. WOW four weeks! Good luck!

I seriously doubt it. She's probably feeling jaw and at 4 weeks old the teething products out there for relief are not designed for infants that young.

my daughter started at 10 weeks old so i asked my health visitor if it was 2 early and she says no somtimes they can start teething at birth, u can buy bongella from birth

give her something to chew on, that normally does the trick, I found that out with my baby cousin when he bit my arm, you can buy teething rings from almost any cosmetic/pharmosutical shop.
