    Ask your attorney.

Do not seek legal advice from Internet geeks. That could be very dangerous to you.

If she doesn't show up for her divorce hearings, it depends on the state, but I would think a judge would start leaning toward the husband. Of course she can delay the procedure, but not forever. She won't get away with skipping court more than once before she learns what contempt is. My wife's ex husband dragged their divorce out for 2 years simply by changing the agreement over and over.

The time frame for the divorce differs by state and by country. In the US if you do not show up for court then the judge will enter his decision and you will not have any say in how that goes if you are not there to tell him. This means that it may not go in your favor because you didn't tell him what was really going on. It has nothing to do with being a FEMALE or a MALE. It has everything to do with having your own best interests at heart and being responsible enough to stand up for yourself.

if you filed the case, it depends how busy the court system is.

Usually no more than a couple months, then it goes to court, they try to serve the petitioners, but in some places like Canada is you have lived 1 year apart you can file for irreconcilable differences. the other party does not have to appear, and you can proceed without them.

the decree Nisei is first given after the court date and then 30 days later you get a decree absolute which leaves you in a position to remarry if you wish,.

Do what? Divorce proceedings can last a minimum of 30 days and can take as long as 30 years. Depends on the complexity. What does being female have to do with anything? I hate women that think the world should revolve around them cuz they're kunts! If the bi-tch don't show up then she can't get no money! It is the same as not showing up for court in any situation, you win! duh!

You can delay it for quite a while, but understand that each motion filed with the court will cost you BOTH money. How much do you want to waste to get to the inevitable?

It WILL move forward unless the petitioner withdraws the suit.

If it is in India you will have to wait for one year after the court hearing and then only the legal divorce can be signed !

i've never heard of a divorce taken a year to become final but, never the less in ark , if you are given a date to show up in court for the divorce and you don't show up , it's says you are not fighting it and the other spouse gets what they want . thats how it went for me and my sister and one of my friends . so you are probly hurting your self . i would talk to a lawyer first.

In NY, if he has a good lawyer, she would lose by default the first time she didn't show up. You just have to prove she was served the summons to court.

If she doesnt show up, then they can claim default and they will rule in favor of him. My divorce was filed in Sept 2007 and was final in Nov 2007..It all depends on the state.

She will be held in contempt of court if she is a no show, as far as the divorce go it will take as long as it will take.
