Catholics are more biblically based. Do some research on both and you will quickly see that while protestant claim Catholics are not biblical and don't follow the bible that in reality Catholics follow it more closely then most protestants Catholics do not EVER revere Mary above Jesus, we revere her as the Mother of Christ, the one with whom Jesus as he dying made sure was taken care of after his death...as an example that we all should strive to emulate...we believe that as the mother of Christ she is the mother of all christians and must be respected and loved as such. for those that claim we *pray* to Mary...you haven't read your bible have you we ask Mary to pray for us..because we believe she is alive in heaven and still working for the glory of God. Hail Mary, full of Grace The Lord is with you Blessed are thou among women And Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus (Luke 1:28, we are quoting the Bible) Holy Mary Mother of God

Actually, I was a catholic once. What you say here is not as widely true as you claim. I know quite a few catholics who pray to mary. And as for asking mary to pray for you, that is praying to mary! The idea that mary is the mother of God comes from a pagan ritual as does much of the roman catholic dogma. It was established as doctrine during the riegn of constantine when he adopted the christian beliefs into the roman religion and converted paganism to christianity. The job was finished over the years by the nicene council and other like them who changed the doctrine of God's word to their own beliefs and introduced many of the errors and inconsistancies in the word. They are not the only ones, almost every major religious group has had some influence in changing the truth into error.
Sorry to sound like I'm picking on anyone or insulting anyone's beliefs, but the truth sometimes does reproove and correct error.
There you go. That's why religion isn't the answer. The truth of God's word needs to be allowed to speak for and interpret itself as the bible tells us it does. Then we will have truth and not man's doctrine.

Then why do Catholics have dogmas like Mary Immaculate, the Assumption of Mary, Mary the Mediatrix? These are intended to make Mary God!
