Whale Killing Under pretext of Research?

Will the Japanese government ever agree to stop the illegal killing of whales under the guise of research when everybody knows that the whales end up in restaurents etc ! They even kill them in Australian teritorial waters.

Update:

Legislation is in place , The Japanese Government has too much clout in the Pacific Area with regards to trade so the Australian gov turns a blind eye . If they were poor Uraguayan fisherman taken a few illegal fish the Aust gov would have a patrol boat out and arrest and confiscate the boat. !!!!!

Update 2:

FRED I I do support Greenpeace ! Should I send Gotz V an application form to join the Kamakaze programme ?

Cheers Pete

This issue makes my blood boil. the government are turning a blind eye all because of money and trade we have with these liars. If it was for research I could understand 10 a year but over 1000 please, do they think that all Aussies have their head in the sand. What makes it worse it most likely isn't just the mink whales they are slaughtering, soon we will have no whales left.

Its sad that we can really only do so much, its our government that need to put a stop this. If they don't the whales will become extinct. Why is it every time these buggers do something they say its for experimental purposes. They really are pushing the friendships between the Aussies aren't they.

Killing whales for 'study applications' is a thinly veiled excuse to kill whales for the extraordinarily rewarding whale meat industry. in the event that they even have been basically attracted to study, they could make the full technique sparkling, and take steps to guarantee the international community that not one of the whales they kill will ever be used for foodstuff. in the event that they're going to kill for intake, then they could desire to be prematurely approximately it. the priority with that although, is that there is a moratorium on whaling. they think of they are able to flaunt the international regulations with a nod and a wink and contact it 'study'. Thats why people have a difficulty with this. they're breaking the spirit of the regulation.

The Japanese story about scientific research is just a scientifically orchestrated lie. If they would slaughter max 10 whales a year, it would be understandable. But 1000 whales a year for an obscure lie is just not on. Nobody saw a research material about the whales but many people saw the Japanese restaurant menus...

That's a tough situation. The last time we tried to block trade with them, they got bent and bombed Pearl Harbor.

I'm going to have to cogitate on that one for awhile.

Maybe we could start a website exposing them for what they are. Or bomb them. I don't know.

Whales are evil and need to be killed before they kill us. I love those brave Japanese whalers, and support them 100%.
