How do you soften new, canvas shoes?

They are killing my heels!!

    I have had that problem,and i found rubbing a bar of soap on the problem area or vasaline helps.I hope it works for you too.

    i know when i was younger my mum used to put wet paper in my shoes overnight to soften them but they were leather shoes i dont know if it would work with canvas, maybe try a damp cloth with some fabric conditioner in them overnight would soften?

    wear them!!!! lol but if u stick them on like a shoe tree it works. I always hire my lil sis to break in my shoes LOL u could do that
