Yes but real love. Only transcendental Love Divine Love. The other kinds of love create fear. Unless we put God in the center of any of our relationships it will be consumed with only a perverted reflexion of the absolute love. Real love is not of this material wold. Here it is temporary and ends in misery. (ultimately death) I won't settle for any lack luster non devotional flickering love. I go for the real thing. No fear in that Love. Thanks.

If romantic love, it wears off and even more , new fears will return.

If love as a a spiritual or metaphysical approach to life, then yes, it does "consume" fear, leaving a selfless courage in its place which empowers us tremendously.

I think saying it that way makes it sound like a flowerly load of crap, but yes it is true - love calms fear.
