You know the story. Frog's legs taste like chicken. Alligator taste like chicken. Rattle Snakes taste like chicken. Etc.
What does all other animals taste like to a chicken?

Mostly because the modern battery raised chicken has no flavor. What you put on it makes the flavor. This is true of so many things we eat.
Also I would bet that most that say such things never are such things as frog legs and rattle snake. I do not think they taste like chicken except if you spice them the same as you do the chicken.

Researchers recently identified an receptor of the tongue that is responsible for a fifth element of taste: Umami (caused by glutomic acids).
Most foods that are protein-rich will have this umami flavor, which explains why so many types of meat "taste like chicken." Check out the web site shown below.

HA! Chickens do not eat meat.
BTW, alligator does not taste like chicken. The other 2 I have not eaten.
