I find it hard to believe after 61 years on this planet there is still so much bigotry and hate on this website, Yahoo Answers. When I answer a question, first I read the entire question to see if it deserves the time it takes to answer it. I also take the time to give the best possible response I can make. I am not perfect, I can give answers that people will not like. Live with it. Apparently there are a lot of people out there who abuse the system to make statement in anominity that they would not make to another person face to face. Bill

3 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoNow that Qaddafi has declared war on the Swiss who will fight along side the Swiss?
Qaddafi called for a Jihad on Mohammed's birthday. He is expecting the Muslim world to join him in this war. Since Switzerland is a neutral country, can we expect any other nation to come to their aid?
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy is it that your God is so much better than everyone else's God?
I read the R & S section and try to answer questions fairly and honestly. I am amazed at the amount of one sided angry statements about other peoples religions. I am not picking on any one religious belief. I see it from all sorts of different religions and non-religions. Is it necessary to denigrate an other persons belief?
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs right to put up a cross at Flight 93's crash site made from steel from the twin towers?
Not all the passengers on board Flight 93 were Christians. Not all the victims of 9/11 were Christians. I believe that if you put up the cross you should put up the religious symbols of all religions and one for atheists also. If you cannot do this, then you should take down the cross. I seem to remember that the US Government bought the land at the Flight 93 crash site. Doesn't it make putting religious symbols on it illegal?

8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDid you know this about Colin Powel
When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush.
He answered by saying, 'Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.'
You could have heard a pin drop.

23 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf you suffer from Bipolar Disorder, what do you do when you are really down to work your way up again?
I suffer from several mental illnesses. Bipolar Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder are the most serious, at least to me. When I get into a severe depressed state, I never know what set it off. It is usually unrelated to my PTSD. I am just the lowest of the low. I find that manic episodes do not last that long. Depression is the hardest thing to deal with and can last it seems forever.
I would like to hear how you pick yourself up and start the hard road to "normal".
5 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoWhy is it that about once a month I find myself defending my religion against hate and bias?
It is that time of month again. I am proud to call myself and to be Jewish. I have been discriminated against in one form or another for all of my 60 years. Is it not time for the world to grow up and smell the roses? Jews, Christians, Muslims, Wiccans, and whatever you want to call yourselves are believers in one truth. "Do unto to others as you would have them do unto you." Is this a hard truth for people to understand?
31 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do people on Y/A forget the passage, judge not lest ye be judged?
Why is it that there is so much hate, bigotry, and misunderstanding here in the R &S section? Why do so many questioners ask questions that are not questions but bigoted statements disguised as a question? Why do so many answerers not answer the question, but give a negative spewing of unrelated garbage to the question? Why do I see this from many different people that are all faiths, the agnostics, and the atheists? Why can't we ask questions and answer with politeness and dignity? Is it really necessary to degrade people?
Is it not a fact, there is nothing wrong with disagreeing on any topic? Isn't learning about other ideas and beliefs an easy way to end bigotry and hate? Is it wrong for me to hope for understanding from my fellow man?

27 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy would Yahoo delete a question about judge not, lest ye be judged?
I asked the question, had thirteen answers and was told it was not a question. It makes no sense to me.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy is the United States government allowing this to happen?
After 63 years the Japanese have finally defeated the US Marine Corps. They are throwing the Marines out of Okinawa, the southern most island in the Japan. Also, the site of the largest sea invasion of World War 2, even bigger then D Day. A stupid Marine raped a Japanese girl so now the entire Corps has to suffer. The Marines are being transferred to Guam. Have we slipped so far in world affairs that a country without an army and that we destroyed in a war, can order us out?
22 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoWhy would one of my contacts try to delete her account?
Isn't this the same as murder one? She couldn't do it so I guess that makes it attempted suicide. She has the greatest questions and answers here on Y/A. So please remember the contact you save is a contact you keep forever. Don't let anyone you care about try to quit.
6 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhat is the best way to end religious intolerance?
Is it a necessary fact of life? Is it taught from birth? Do you grow up learning it? Can you be converted away from it, without giving up your religious beliefs? I see no problems with the many types of religions on the planet. I only see problems with intolerance of others.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs it correct for this question to be asked?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApJ6d...
In my opinion this question and his comments are biased, hateful, and bigoted. He should be thrown off of the entire Internet. I would like to hear your thoughts on this. I will not be reporting anyone and will choose the best answer based on content and not on my bias.
