Everything serves its purpose in this life. I don't think it's religion that's the problem, but rather intolerance itself. Many people can disagree about any subject and be just fine. It is because people normally treat each other in a civil manner that we even notice intolerance at all. I think most intolerance stems from insecurity. Question is, how are you going to make people feel better about themselves? Once you've cured the world of their insecurities, then intolerance goes away. But I think given the fact that you notice bigotry at all, should show ya that it's a rare phenomena. You aren't numb to it, hence it's not an everyday or every minute thing for you.

For me, once I realized that belief didn't matter, that it all belonged to God anyway, including my belief, it gave me a huge sense of peace in His control. People are caused to do the things they do every day by influences and past circumstances, all of which are authored by God Himself. So I get to rest with incredible peace of mind and tolerance for everyone and everything like never before. Maybe when we realize our insignificance, we can learn the same peace and tolerance.

To end the religious intolerance, if possible, let everyone keep to his or her belief and stop judge-mental attitude and also stop criticizing others religion. Since it is difficult to have the same belief.

The ONLY way to promote tolerance is to spread knowledge. ONLY the closed minded and ignorant are intolerant and hatred just breeds more hatred.. And the ignorant and intolerant tend to breed more than the smart ones.

I think a lot of you are clueless. Intolerance is not disagreeing, it is what the terrorists do. If not then you are being intolerant right now. Quit being so intolerant and hateful.

Adopt the following 2 new commands:

11) Thou shall unconditionally love and respect everyone: believer and non believer.

12) Thou shalt not kill, murder, torture, destroy, hurt, maim, wound, argue, fight, rape, punish, disrespect, insult, kidnapp, etc etc any person (believer and non believer) or animal in my (ie Gods) name.

These two new commands would hopefully cover any loop holes with respect to intolerance.
