Is turmeric or curcumin an effective broad spectrum antibiotic when taken internally?

Say as opposed to penicillin or amoxicillin.

    turmeric protect the liver...has anitbiotic, anticancer, anti-inflammatory properties

    Turmeric Extract (Curcumin ) has been traditionally used as an anti-inflammatory agent in Ayurvedic medicine.
