    set the equation to zero

    0=4x-3

    3=4x

    .75=x

    set f(x) to 0. So 0=4x -3; add 3 to the other side, so you get 3=4x; divide both sides by 4. Hence, 3/4=X

    when they say find the zero(s), its just find the solution that makes it equal to zero. solutions, zeros, roots, they're all the same thing.
