You would be surprised at how many cute styles there are. I am not partial to a g or a thong unless it will only be on for an hour or so. I am the same as you. Get sore. I would look into some lacy boy-cuts or bakinis. There are some really cute ones out there without the discomfort of a wedgie. It would be wise to look beautiful on the outside of them though. You don't want to find yourself in a rebound situation and regret it the next day. Slow down and enjoy going out and flirting and see what happens from there. I would be afraid the the break up is too soon and you want to find the right person and not just sum guy from the pub. You are young yet, but dating is just that. Save showing off the underwear until you are in a more secure relationship. A guy that truly loves you and respects you will wait and will love you even if you wore full-on briefs. I know this is blunt but I hope this answer allows you to think about youself and love yourself enough to wait. One of the biggest dressing disasters is having a thong showing above your pants. Get charms and hook them around it and wear it like a bracelet- It's a little more subtle... and you won't look like a "super-dork" like your friend with the cape if you guys go out somewhere. If you are just staying in I would wear it over my head like a headband and attach a veil to it...
