my links are not working on yahoo answers..I got a few best answers and the links did work but now do not?

I relooked them up and tried to put in the comment section and they still do not work.

Is this happening to everyone..are the links working on the other questions still and when they fix it will the links work or will everything need to be relinked,

Does anyone know..how can we use yahoo well without this function.

Anyone know when this will be fixed and is it happening and noticeable to everyone. Gosh, I hope they are not permanently messed up..

Update:

gosh I hope they do not cancel the links as this will dramatically lesson the help offered by yahoo.

Just don't panic about it. It is just the result of a recent bug (or glitch) Yahoo! Answers are facing, and Yahoo! Answers employees, Jane and Lou, have been notified and the Yahoo! Answers Team are working to fix it.

With Yahoo, they have so many glitches that I'm not sure if it's deliberate or accidental. However, you're right, links no longer work.

They may have done away with being able to use links because, for some time now, they've been deleting my answers where I was posting links. Not all of them but a lot of them, especially if I tried to post a link to youtube.com.

It would be a shame if all the links quit working! I had some questions marked on my watch list with links to great recipe sites!

Hardly a minor glitch, Yahoo! accidentally disabled the hyperlink feature effective sometime Wednesday, February 6, 2008.

A Yahoo! employee ("Lou") reports "This is indeed a bug, and we are working to fix it. We will continue to post updates about the fix on the main page of the [Yahoo! Answers forum]" (select the "Forum" link at the upper right of any Yahoo! Answers Page).

Yahoo! does not have an estimate as to when the hyperlink feature will be restored.

While they Yahoo Gang is working on fixing the problem, here is a way to get your links to print out.

Copy the link as you usually do, put spaces in the address (sometimes you need more than one--depends on the length of the address). If you put spaces in the link, the whole address will print out. You just have to warn them to delete the spaces in the links when they copy and paste it into the address.

It's a pain, but at least the whole address prints out and doesn't trail off into "...."

In the meantime, we can hope it is fixed soon!

I am glad you asked the question! I wasn't sure where to find out what was going on--links in my hotmail accounts are working/highlighted in blue, so could be clicked on, so I knew it wasn't my computer, but had to be a Yahoo glitch.

I do hope it is fixed soon, because I find it a valuable thing to be able to do in answers, so that the asker can go to the referenced sites and get more info, check out our answers, and it is really an aid to research.

thanks, too, to all the answers you have gotten so far.

They have had over 12 hours to fix this and still no result. They have not explained what the problem is.

It took them three hours before they realised that they even had a problem with the links.

Sometimes I think there is nobody at yahoo....it is just an empty office with a janitor pushing a mop around the floor.

It's a glitch and according to Yahoo! Answers Team Member Jane, they're looking in to it.

    Another Yahoo glitch.

I have also heard that it is a glitch that is being addressed. You can and should still place your link in your Question, because it is still clickable after you hit Answer.

Thank you for asking this question. I too thought it was just me. I had a lot of trouble yesterday with my XP, home network, and ISP and thought, "Great, another problem."
