When Did Barack Obama decide to run for President?
During a meeting with reporters at his Illinois campaign headquarters after his election to the U.S. Senate, he ridiculed as "a silly question" whether he would run for president or vice president before his term ends in 2011. "I’ve never worked in Washington," he said. "I can unequivocally say I will not be running for national office in four years, and my entire focus is making sure that I’m the best possible senator on behalf of the people of Illinois."

There are a lot of people that see Obama's great potential and have encouraged him to run. He is very short on experience but he, better than anyone else, seems to be able to verbally characterize what is going on with the American people and the people are responding to this. They feel understood.
Since there is a limit on the number of years one can serve as President, I would really like him to get the vice-presidential nod and run for president afterwards. I think he will do a much better job with more experience.

it form of feels that when 2008, Palin does not stand a great gamble...yet look at her those days. Her speech is Wisconsin-astonishing, it have been given individuals of the Tea occasion pumped up, and all of us understand how lots the tea occasion will impact the election. Her recent interviews with Hannity, Van Susteren, and Jeanine have been astonishing. i think of she'll rather marvel some human beings if she makes a decision to run

When the media said, gee wouldn't it be cool if the Woman Senator ran against the Black Senator so we can make some history? And then they wouldn't let it go.
How cool running Hillary with her bogus experience against Obama with his no experience. Other Democrats running for President actually did something, passed legislation, and had REAL governing experience. Now were stuck with two media created do nothings to potentially run the US.

Thank goodness he decided to run. No go back to the kitchen and leave politics to people who understand the issues.

When he was born...I believe that this was the intention all along of his parents. His fathe is Muslim and he was supposedly brought up Christian....but his church is odd to say the least and it IS customary for a child to be of his FATHER'S religion. Could he be the next TROJAN HORSE?
