How do I turn on hibernate mode?

Somebody I know's computer has the hibernate mode disabled some how. It is running Vista. How do I turn it back on?

    Open the Start Menu

    Right click Command Prompt

    Select Run as administrator

    To turn Hibernation off - powercfg -hibernate off

    To turn Hibernation on - powercfg -hibernate on

    Note: If you turn it off, it won’t even show on the Start Menu

    go to control panel > power options > choose what the power buttons do > change one of them to hibernate

    You have to go to the start (pearl) button on the bottom and go to the control pannel. hit the option that says hardware and sound. Then choose the option that says power options. Then on he left side, hit where it says what to do when you close the lie. Then choose what you want it to do.
