How do Patriots fans feel about the Superbowl loss?

I'm curious to how Patriot fans feel about the loss in the Superbowl. You can't deny that the Giants played hard and really fought for that championship. I know when teams I root for have lost, I still felt good as long as it was a good game and my team gave great effort. I'm just looking for the overall feeling Patriots have about the loss to the Giants. I think the Giants just fought very hard, wanted it more and deserved to win. You can't deny it was a great game.

    shocked, and surprised.

it was a great season, and would have been even better if we had won.

however, there is always next season to look forward too

and i intend to keep my patriots shirts ready!

I'd say the biggest upset in SB history. I know the Jets over the Colts is usually considered the biggest because the Colts were 17 point favorites, but I think one was bigger because the Pats had the best record going into it and the possibility of a 19-0 season.

It was a great game. I frankly would've liked to see more scoring. Defensive games can be kind of boring. For 2 or 3 quarters both teams were stuffing the other's offense and 3-and-outs or 5 or 6 play drives before a punt can get a little dull. But the ending was one of the best ever even though it didn't go how I would've liked.

I feel they missed an opportunity to something no one else has done, that the Giants outplayed them and came up with the big plays when they needed to, and that it was one of the SB's in nfl history.

    Disappointed.

Yes it's true the Giants did a great job and the patriots fell short. But it doesn't change the outcome. As a patriots fan I wanted them to win. However like every other team who didn't win the superbowl or make it that far there is always next year.

I don't think the Eagles got one over on the Pat's, but I do think he is one of the top corners in the league. He's the only reason the Eagles didn't beat the Pat's in the regular season this past year. As for him just being in the right place, it's the defensive players job to put themselves in the right place at the right time. Not only did the Pats lose Samuel but they also lost Randall Gay. The linebackers are filling out their AARP registration as we speak, and Bellichek isn't allowed to cheat anymore. You're kidding yourself if you don't think this will impact the team. I agree that they'll continue as an elite team, but they definately took a step back.

There have been other big upsets

New York Jets over baltimore Colts

was the last Superbowl I bet on. On

any given Sunday, any team can beat

any other team, depending on who

wants most - as said by the great

    Vince Lombardi.

Win some Lose some - We Lost.

They lost because they didn't or couldn't adjust to the front four pressure by the Giants. Maybe they had too easy all year long with winning and then ran into a team with the league's strongest defensive line. They couldn't handle the pressure and weren't prepared for it. Brady did not look spectacular at all.

i cannot and will not deny that it was a great game. watching the game it was obvious who was running and blocking and was stronger, which surprised me, than the other team. the Giants won because they deserved to win, there is nothing else to be said. it looked like new England sent in a second best team, Brady looked out of it, it was bad. so CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEW YORK GIANTS WELL DONE patriot fan, p.s. we will beat you next year so enjoy it while you can.

It was a good game I admit. I was pretty upset that they lost. I knew that when the Giants got the TD at the end with 30 seconds left it was over and yeah not happy at all! I admit tho the play with Eli almost getting sacked and him scrambling and making that throw and they WR catching it on his helmet was play of the year.

I thought Bellicheck was a poor coach that day.

    1. No field goal attempt 1st half

    2. No offensive changes to counter Giants pressure - screens reverses - anything but a short run every 1st down a sideline pass on 2nd down and over the middle on third down.

    3. 1st in goal with under 3 minutes to go and no attempt to run any clock. He should have run on 1st or second down to get clock past the 2 minute warning.

After the game he dismissed the field goal as a "49 yard field goal"? your kidding? If it weren't for 45 yard plus field goals how many Superbowls would the Pats have?

I am sad for the loss... such a sad way to end a perfect season, but I give a hats off to the Giants. Their D dominated our O-Line.
