Why HDMI cable not applied for CRT as regular TV has port?
I'm confused right now, HDMI is designed for HDTV? I heard about people talking about Blu-ray player on PS3 can be
viewed on regular TV, that is true?

The PS3, despite all the focus on Blu-Ray and HD gaming, only comes packaged with a composite cable. The PS3 is perfectly happy outputting in SD over them.

You can connect a PS3 to a regular CRT Tv, but the picture will only be displayed in the max resolution that the CRT allows which will probably be 480 as opposed to the 1080 that the PS3 blu ray is capable of

Digital TV signals can be cheaply converted to the old analog signals, so nearly everything with a HDMI output also has analog outputs built in.
Of course, the picture resolution on the 480i analog outputs isn't as good as the HDMI output.
