Connie because they are "Curious" (w)....like the one asked if we french kiss! (lol) or the one who wanted to know if we knew how to get on the Internet.... others we remind them of their parents, or grandparents we help bring back good memories........Some may get lost looking for High School seniors and decide to stay because of the humour, wisdom and most of the time peaceful and friendly atmosphere

Questions that are racist, full of hate, or being used to promote a political or religious belief don't belong here. Other than that, most questions are welcome even from the young ones who think this area is for seniors in high school. We all were in high school once, or know someone who is and can remember what it was like. If a question requires expert information, such as something medical or scientific, it should be directed to that area or a doctor. Just because Yahoo may have originally been intended for a specific purpose, doesn't mean that it can never change, or alter, unlike Jim.

Because the majority of contributors in the Seniors section show courtesy for each other, which is a nice change from the adolescent name-calling that you see so many other places in YA. Also seniors are not so narcissistic that they completely forget to give thumbs up for good answers. They respect and appreciate other people's sincere, well-meaning opinions this way.

If you have read the questions and answers on some of the other sites, you will notice that a lot of the other answers are just put downs and have nothing to do with the question. Some of the questions are things that I would not want to give advice on without knowing the person.

I am not a young folk so I can't answer for them. As an older adult I think that what this site or category has that no other has is that wisdom is fashioned in many shapes, sizes and ages. That all persons have something to contribute and I want to hear that. Fools and foolishness are obvious and age differs little there. I enjoy the g lady and many others. It is fun to have many people of many backgrounds and ages here. Good always comes with the bad. Age doesn't discriminate on that level.

I dont think we are as mean or judgmental as other sites. I am tickled that someone even wants to hear about " the good old days".

So being a little more civil is probably a good thing. Plus you lose some of the mean spirited parts when you get a little older. Not everyone does. My wife is real mean. Kicks my butt all the time.

In 45 minutes I will legally be of age to qualify for the Senior Discount. Ask me anything younguns and hopefully I'll have an answer. If I don't then I'll fly by the seat of my pants and it will still sound okay. This is a kinder, gentler site with some really good people. We can learn as much from the young folks as they can learn from us.....peace.

I hang out here cos some times its fun 2 reed the rants by old men and some times old lades and really do I want 2 answers another question by a pre pubescent 12 year old asking 2 be a model

From some of the questions I think some young folks mistake it for being a Senior in high school. Personally, I love talking to younger people because I think we can both learn from each other.

My husband is a senior (72), and I am 56... so that makes me what?

I really don't care so much about anyone's actual age, but sometimes I find seniors to be a bit more crusty and honest. I find it refreshing some of the time. And sometimes I end up there, because of the question - not even looking at the category.

I don't know that there are that many young people on the senior citizen site (except if they are doing studies for school and need answers, or need historical answers for like what happened years ago), and, being on this senior part of Q&A it's real difficult to get a best answer. The Polls & Surveys site is the best place to get "best answers".

It's so nice to think that you think of many of us as being so young :-) thanks
