Having trouble potty training...BOY!!?

I have been potty training my son for over a year now. He uses the bathroom on his self everyday when I come home from work. I know he knows how to go to the tiolet. But he stands in front of the television and uses the bathroom on his self. I thought if I made him wear it alnight he'll stop. He continuesly does it and I believe he likes the way it smell.

I had registered him into school and he got accepted. he can't attend because he's not potty trained. He want me to buy him some pull ups, no I don't think so. he takes off all his clothes and puts on my friend child pull ups. WHAT CAN I DO?

    do not let him stop at the tv take him to the toilet as soon as you walk into the door. The tv is an attention grabbing distraction and he may be getting so interested in the show that he ignore the body signal to go. Making him wear urine or feces soaked clothes will not stop the problem and will cause him to get rashy

    The porcelin potty in our boat is sized for a kid, our child enjoyed having a potty her own size. This was about the same time we were starting to potty train. You are using a small (kid sized) toilet to train with, right? Does he watch dad going potty? this could reinforce the process..

    Short answer...you can't do anything!

    Sadly this is one area that we have no control whatsoever.

    Your son will use the bathroom when he wants to.

    You can't rush it.

    You can't do anything to make him go.

    The most you can do is try to make it fun, keep it available, and encourage him.

    The more you try to push, the more he is going to plant his feet in the ground and not do it....guess who wins this battle of war.

    --spanking does not work either, I had a friend who tried this with her first child.

    get one of those floating targets that you can put in the toilet that way peeing is fun
