Should I give a Valentine to a girl who I haven't talked to in 4 months?

I haven't talked to her since late October. I asked her out to a dance in May and it was the greatest moment I had in a long time. Someone told me 3 days later that she just went with me to make me happy. I feel like a fool.  Her friends have been asking me lately if I still like her and I freeze.  I see her everyday, and don't know what to say to her. Should I give her a Valentine or should I give up on her? The problem is, I'm not popular and she is.

Dude poplarity don't count. don't worry about it. it sounds to me like she likes you. if her friends keep asking you that just play it cool. hang out with her some and definetly get her a valentine. like a "cute" teddy bear and a dozen roses. I am 95% sure she likes you. talk to her some when you see her before valentines too. don't be shy, just play it cool and it will all go smoothly.

until the year before last, I sent an exGF a valentines card every year for about 6 years - sad / stalker-ish I know (well actually I didnt because I hadnt thought about it - but now I have - its a bit odd!)

so, yea - go for it - give her a card etc
