As the population of earth continues to grow, it is inevitable that the resources and lebensraum of Antarctica will become indispensible. It will be necessary to colonize the 7th continent and eventually form a new country out of it. Those who get in on the ground floor, so to speak, will be at a distinct advantage.

lebensraum... INTERESTING choice of words.... Are you totally against having a pure, untouched space on this polluted overpopulated planet? I suppose you are in favor of opening up the soon to be ice free Arctic for "oil exploration" and "commerce" as well... I have another word choice for you... FINAL SOLUTION, as in this time, ALL of us are gonna go. And through our own greed and stupidity.

It is absolutely too cold there for any human being to inhabit the area. Thus, it has many drawbacks about it. Mankind would have lived there a long time ago, but for this situation.

I am sure there will come a time when the technology exists to make that something that reasonably possible.
