Why does tea taste like with no sugar in it?

Good tea should taste good with little to no additional ingredients. If you prefer a sweeter tea try honey or warm skim or soy milk (keeps from cooling the tea). Loose tea tastes much better than tea bags. Plus you can flavor it with vanilla beans, lemon or orange rind, or spices during steeping & get creative with the flavors. There are the right ways to make tea (cast iron or ceramic pots) or you can use a french press. Either way using the correct temperture of water, amount of tea leaves, and proper brewing time will make all the difference.

Because your mouth has just been filled with sugar, and sweets. Which in return makes the tea taste not so sweet. :)

Yes! It's because the other thing tastes sweeter in comparison to the tea. Everything tastes bitter after I brush my teeth! :)

I always put a tablespoon of sugar in my tea. I can drink coffee without sugar.
