He cheated, can I get an annulment?

He cheated before we decided to get married, but I didn't find out until after. It's been about 3 months now. Will I be able to get an annulment?

I thought anullments happened in rare cases such as not ever having sex or insanity. For sure if you do not want to be with him any longer do not have sex with him at all. To do so will show forgiveness and acceptance of what he did.

Check with your priest/court as to how to get an annullment.

Cheating, Adultery or Concubinage has never been a ground for annulment, rather you can sue your hubby if you want if he's living in with the other girl like husband and wife.

Before you do that be sure. If you still love him don't let him go and keep forgiving him. Why?!?!? I'm alive 45 years and I have ever met a man that doesn't cheat. The next man you meet will cheat on you too or worse. You don't think it can be worse!??! Go to a home for battered women and speak to a few of them!!! Good luck!!!

The rules for an annulment (i.e. your marriage never happened) are very strict indeed. But ask a lawyer they may be ale to tell

You can try and get an annulment, but if you cannot get one granted then you can always file for divorce and move on.

Try to forgive him and give him another chance. It happened before you got married. If he loved the other woman more, he would have married her instead of you. Try to give him a leeway, after all he is only a man (LOLl!!) and men tend to sow their oats before getting married. It's their nature to cheat (ooops!!) LOL!!
