I live in Michigan. I want to go to college in Texas and live there. My mother and my two brothers live in Texas. They've lived there since June 2005. My brothers go to MCC in Waco, TX.

You must first the Texas Consulate in Detroit.
You will need a visa to enter and if you want to stay you will have to file a temp. worker permit . If this dosent work , sneak into Oklahoma or Arkansas and cross the border at night and you might could get in that way.
Good Luck

Just put your address as your mother's. To be a resident, you just have to have a residence in the state, and have lived there for a certain period of time. Since your mother has been there for almost 3 years, I would think you could claim residency.
But mind you, this is the "shady" way of doing it. The technical way is for you to move to Texas and live there for a year.

If you want to go to college in Texas you will not be considered a resident by the college unless you live there for a certain amount of months, possibly years. Check into what the college wants.

The first step would be to travel to Texas and set up a residence,
The establish utility services to indicate permanence.
Register to vote, get a Texas drivers license.
In the USA, there are not documents, forms or permits required to move from one state to another. There are regulations about having a drivers licesnce if you are a resident. To prove you are a resident, in order to qualify for schools, you must establish a residence.

Go to the DMV and change tour drivers license to a TX drivers license. That will make you a resident of Texas. There is no waiting period or minimum age.

drive south , cross the red river, get on I35 somewhere, Waco is on I35 halfway between Dallas and Austin
i see folks talking bad about the Great State of Texas, it is too bad that they do not have pride in the state that they live in, or that they have experienced many of the negative things they are talking about in their own state or country for that matter

move there, apply for a Texas drivers license and receive your mail at a Texas address and you are well on your way. There may be other requirements to claim permanent residency in Texas but the best place to find that out would be at the state governments website.

If your mother can claim you live with her and she has custody you may be able to get in-state tuition immediately. However if not you have to live in texas for one year, working and not going to school to receive in-state tuition.
It stinks, out of state tuition is very extensive in Texas too, I paid $300 a credit, that was a few years ago. I tried everything to get in state tuition and nothing worked.

Just move there!
You may not be eligible to receive Texas Financial Aid or discounted tuition after a period like 6months to a year, but the faster you move there, the better it will be.
