Is Huckabee staying in the race to possibly secure a Veep or other high cabinet position?

He doesn't have much if any chance to win at this point. Your opinion?

Update:

Huevos - I wasn't trying to second guess his motives. I only asked for opinions. None the less I liked your answer.

It might just be crazy but, maybe he's actually trying to win. Maybe he's not playing by the good ol' boys rules of step aside and let our man win because we say so crap. Maybe he has enough faith in himself and believes that he can make a positive difference in Washington.

Why do people always try to second guess the motives of people?

    No he is not.

Who decides when the primary is over? Should Huckabee drop out and forget about all the rest of the states that have not voted yet and deny the right for a choice to vote for someone other than McCain? I think not. Keep democracy moving and keep our republican views on the table and don't fold.

Yeah, he wants to secure a more prominent stature in the government, that's for sure. To be honest, for the republican party it's counter productive. If they are going to win against the democrats in November, they are going to need to get behind a candidate. Let's be honest people, that's John McCain, 720 Delegates. Mitt Romney tried to Emulate Ronald Reagan, and it failed, because McCain had the support of In depends, and "more liberal" voters, not just the Hard line Conservatives. Mitt Romeny was also a Mormon, which in a general Election, wouldn't of played in his favor.

If I was a citizen of the USA, and over 18 I would Vote for Obama, no doubt.

I LOVE OMABA!!!!! I want him in the white house so bad.

However, I would Vote for John McCain over Hillary Clinton

BUT Huckabee, can not, win, come on, be serious, he would have to win 80% of all of the up coming delegates, not possible!

Mike Huckabee is the MOST articulate Republican candidate on the ballet. He's staying until he doesn't have the nomination. I hope I have a chance to vote for him! Cause if not...Obama will get my vote in November.

A little know fact, The Huckabee is addicted to daily coffee enemas, which are provided to him free by an anonymous donor as long as he stays in the race. He also gets a free paid playmate of the month to administer it to him. Mike love his coffee enemas, that's the real reason he keeps going.

Huck can siphon votes that would otherwise go to Mitt.

He must stay in the race so his delegates cannot then go for McCain or Mitt.

Huck simply has to be smart enough to know McCain cannot be trusted to award him the VP spot.

Reason for staying in: In a brokered convention, he would have a chance.

    YES

He may not win but he can pull votes and offer an alternative for the far right.

I think he wants VP so he is looking to the far right to off set the moderate view that people have of the current front runner.

What point is there in pulling out? He has already spent all that money campaigning and some of us haven't even voted yet. It's stupid for all these candidates to withdraw. How can they win if they don't run?

I think you don't know what you mean!! You must mean 'Jeep' . Whou wouldn't stay in a race for a chance at a Jeep? That is some serious motoring!

Probably yes. If nothing else it gives him a Nationwide platform to speak his mind.

And he's able to push Conservative ideas that somebody who actually wants to get elected (Like McCain) won't risk or even believe in.
