Like some people said reggie is a two rb kind of guy, he is great on the open field but not good in between the lines he needs to adapt better to the nfl but he also needs to be used properly, he is not strong enough to break through lines of defensive players and he is no longer the fastest guy on the field anymore so he needs to find a system that suits his style, i think he would have been very useful in a system like the one that the rams used in 2000 a pass crazy offense like the one martz used would bring out the best in reggie bush, until then the only way he will shine is if he has a real running back like deuce macallister doing the heavy work while bush's speed and elusiveness are used for other things.

    Absolutely overrated.

Reggie Bush is a 2 RB system player. At USC, he had LenDale White, and in New Orleans he has Deuce McAllister. You saw how far his performance dropped off the moment Deuce tore his ACL this year. It'll continue to be that way until Mr. Bush learns to run between the tackles (and size doesn't justify that inability...look at Warrick Dunn). Also, Reggie isn't the fastest guy on the field anymore...there's linebackers and defensive backs (and in some cases defensive lineman) that can and have caught him.

I think he has the talent to be great but until he learns to play football in the NFL he will be a bust. He always tries to make every play a td instead of just hitting the hole and taking the yards he can get. He is extremely talented but as a Saints fan I am tired of seeing him dance around and trying to jump over people.

hes not really overrated. hes not an everydown back though. hes good coming out of the back field and catching passes or the toss plays. not great at running the ball up the middle. the saints need deuce mcallister for an everydown back while reggie does his thing.

i agree with u 100% USC is overrated

he cant run up the middle. he can only run outside and i think hes scared to now bc of that hit by brian dawkins in the playoffs.

i think he should be a wide reciever, he could be a serious threat there.

Duece is the Real Runningback of the Saints. Bush is just out there as a reciever or someone to catch it in the flats.

  • 1 decade ago

He is more of a Kevin Faulk kind of RB. He is one of the best RB's at catching the ball, but only average at running the ball...

as the biggest saints fan ill have to say....

    YES!

he fumbled 2 times at the 1 yard line, dropped like 131 balls, and just isnt any good without deuce mcallister
