can anyone explain why after 911 all Arabs are running the gas stations in America?

Apparently, the government sets up immigrants in small businesses when they come here. I have noticed they are often Arabs as well and I live in a town of about 2500 people. The arabs owned two gas stations here. Some in the town where I work disappeared 9/12. I have yet to hear an explanation for that.

No Maggie..YOU, MUST be pretty young. Having been born in this country I can tell you I never once saw the majority of gas stations being owned by east asians in the 1980's or before in the tri-state area. Now, they're like friggin roaches all over. The fact they have a limited command of english is enough to know they have not been here long enough to save that kind of money to open a gas station working on minimum wage.

Because they have realized there is good money in owning gas stations. Americans are wasteful and drive big SUVs that need filling all the time, and not only that, the things they sell in gas stations cost 3x more to buy there than at the grocery store, so they are making a killing.

You can't really be serious with this question. :) Arabs and other middle eastern people were in this country ten years before 911. That's long enough enough to have a generation of kids capable of running a gas station. That's no small feat.

You must be pretty young.... Arabs have been running gas stations for a lot longer than that. It isn't something that is new.

That's a low wage job--most Americans have better ones.

As for the fact that some people working in gas stations happen to be Arabic--so what. Tht's not going to bothr anyone but a few scumbag bigots. No one cares what that trash thinks.

No more than I can explain over 20 million illegals in this country and our borders not being secured, all since 9/11.

I don't want to run a gas station. Why aren't you running a gas station? I am sure you could get a job at one if you really want to...
