Age old question whats wrong with jewish people? I'm 47 I haven't a clue.I don't under stand it!!?

After the chief priests contrived to have Jesus crucified, and they said "let His blood be upon us and our children", and the people went along with it, God punished them by sending the Roman army to destroy Jerusalem in the year 70ad. And the Jews were scattered throughout the world without a country of their own as outcasts. God still loves them, because He always punishes those He loves, so that they have oppertunity to make amends. The racism towards them is originally because of the idea of them as outcasts. The UN is trying to make a country for them from land that they took from the Palestinians near Jerusalem, but even that can be seen as not having God's blessing.

they are not really *hated* through history more like targeted...they were not always such a large group as they are today, in a lot of countries jews were the minority and that will make anyone a hated group, they were often used as scapegoats just because they were easy targets, im not trying to say they havent been treated horribly they have, but i think their persecution could have been bestowed on any minority that the rest of the world tried to keep down....you might say that today in america hispanics are that group....granted in todays civilization we just dont have massive massacres and extinctions that existed in the past, but blacks were treated that way at one point, and today hispanics are being kept down and discriminated against, at one point it happened to asians....its all about minoritys becoming majoritys, no one wants the little guy to suceed and sometimes humans can be brutal about it...

You're right. The hate is out of proportion to the relative smallness of our numbers. But so are the accomplishments of our people, and jealousy often breeds hate.

If you don't mind my adding, only extremely uneducated Jews think that 'chosen' implies that we are superior to anyone else. 'Chosen' means 'chosen to follow the 613 mitzvot' (Only in a much more eloquent manner.)

Which brings me to another factor... The fact that there are so few Jews in the world. Most people will never meet a Jewish person, so they rely on stereotypes to classify us.

Anti-semitism is common really only in Europe and the Middle East, where Jews have been a minority for 2000 years. Simply being a moderately-large, somewhat seperatist minority accounts for much of it.

The "killed Jesus" blood-libel is certainly part of it, for Christians. This part of the New Testament is almost certainly a fiction, since the trial of Jesus is so inconsistent with Roman Empire jurisprudence that it couldn't have happened. But Bible-believing Christians won't believe that this section of their holy book is wrong.

Historical anti-semitism was mostly Christian.

Jews were persecuted and demonized by Christians for centuries. Pogroms were often incited by blood libels -- false rumors that Jews used the blood of Christian children for ritual purposes.

Then came the Lutherans, Protestantism, and subsequently the Nazis and so-called modern anti-Semitism. American heroes like Henry Ford published anti-semitic literature (The International Jew) and fleeing Jews were turned back to Europe.

You will see these same stereotypes in Arab/Muslim antisemitic propaganda today.

Jews turned their backs on My lord and savior Jesus!! They do not believe in Jesus, so therefore they may just be entitled to a swim in the lake of fire!! Jews were mean to Jesus back in the day.

The Jewish religion states that the Jews are gods chosen people, another name for that is RACIAL SUPREMICISM.

Today many are clueless as to who their enemy is. Islam must destroy Israel but they can't see it. Christians are their only faithful friends but Jews mostly vote for those who are not doing what is necessary for their survival.

Ignorance & Religion are too blame and nothing else.

(On another note I still dont quite understand the Christian side though as I Jesus and all his apostles were Jews.)
