I would think that they never expected it - to them of all persons & that they r just flabbergasted. Too shocked for words. they never expected a proposal from such a smart, handsome man & it would take them sometime to recover from the blow & shock. I shall wait till they r fit to make any further moves.

Sometimes it takes the other person some time to say it. When that person says thank you, they feel it may sound hollow if they say it right back. Just hold off and wait to see if that person seems to feel the same way, it will come out when she is ready. I understand that because I am very hesitant to say I love you.
