Heartburn question?
For all of you that have asked for remendies for heartburn, I have one that has worked for me.
I've had this problem for years day and night. I got on a site that said eat apples, any kind. I stopped my medications and chopped up an apple. I took 1/2 of a apple just before the onset of heart burn. It took 5 minutes to feel relief. My body tells me how much apple to eat.
After 4 days if I get a feeling of heartburn I just eat a couple slivers of apple and it's gone immediately.
I do keep apples by my bed side in case of the mid night attack.
So far, it's healing me. No more medications, Tums or anything else. And as of now, I don't have to eat apples every day.

Chronic heartburn is usually from acid reflux - stomach acid is getting past the little valve and into your esophagus. You also should know some natural ways to treat your heartburn. Learn them here

The most immediate thing you can do is to stop drinking coffee and cola. Smoking is not good either, but that might be harder to stop. Don't over-eat. Don't lie down too soon after eating. Don't burp too much - this carries acid up with the burp.

If you have someone feel your spine, more or less inbetween your shoulder blades, and have them push a little, I bet you're sore. You have, I'm betting, what is a VSC(vertebral subluxation complex). There will be a vertebrae out of place at the level of the spinal cord where the spinal nerves come out and go to the acid pumps, if you will, in the stomach. A relatively short treatment plan of chiropractic adjustments should elminate the problem. I've had alot of success treating GERD.

Great suggestion. i like apples and eat them frequently, but have not thought about them in conjunction with heartburn. I'll pay more attention and see if it helps me.
