law question about a trust?
My husband's aunt died. She left her estate to him and three other nieces. If he dies before he receives his inheritance the trust states the remainder of his inheritance will go to his "Issues" by Representation. He has three grown children, we have none together. Will the monies go to his children or to me his spouse? Am I considered an "Issue?"
I've looked on line and can't find any answers.
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHow to discipline my cat from attacking a new cat?
My male cat is attacking our new little Siamese. They have seen each other for months through a window when she was in our outside room.
When we brought the new cat into the house, after 8 days, he started stocking her then attacking her. My concern is, she's very tiny, shy, and doesn't have the temperament of fighting and he's quite large. I'm afraid he will kill her.
We can't always separate them because she hides and we can't get to her and at night who knows what will happen.
My question is: what kind of discipline should we take with the male? Clapping our hands and saying no helps. A web site on pets suggested swatting him with a newspaper.
Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoHow long has anyone had a stray kitten hide inside?
Our Siamese stray has been hiding for 3 months behind the Stereo unit in our outside office where we can't get to it. We've tried every idea that has been presented here on Yahoo and nothing works. Play, food, talking, nothing. It comes out at night when we are sleeping and eats and plays. Only thing left is trapping it and I don't think that would be a good idea, it's very frightened and that may make it worse.
When it accidentally sees us it's like it has never seen a human before and hisses if we try to get near.
How long has anyone had this situation with a kitty. We think it's about 6 months old now.
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoQuestion about Pet Promise dry cat food?
Pet Promise is a organic dry cat food. I've noticed some of the ingredients are: Brewers Rice, Corn Gluten Meal, Oat Meal. I'm wondering if these ingredients are okay because they are organic or not.
My cats love this dry food.
Only qualified answers please.

It's been over two weeks now and our young stray is still hiding. She comes out only at night to eat, etc.
We can't catch her, she's clever where she hides.

6 AnswersCats1 decade agoAny names for a 3 month old Siamese kitten?
She is a stray. Only had her for 6 days and is still in hiding. I thought if I could call her by a name she would respond better.
She has a black face like a raccoon, so cute, blue eyes, of course. Don't know what her personality is, so I'll just pick out one of your names for her.
No human names please. Thank you for responding.
11 AnswersCats1 decade agoHow long has anyone had a kitten/cat hide.?
Someone dropped off a Siamese female kitten, 6 days ago. She ran into our house while the door was open and hid. She only comes out when we are sleeping for food, etc. I always talk to her, but have never seen her since she arrived. She eats, etc. very good.
We use a flash lite to find out where she hides and when we do, she moves somewhere else in places we cannot fine her.
Don't suggest toys, treats, or anything else. We've tried it all. She's scared out of her mind. We don't have dogs.
Question: How long can kittens/cats hide? Should we just feed her and talk to her and let her be for whatever time it takes?
Help! Thank you.
7 AnswersCats1 decade agoOkay, another question for a scared cat hiding.?
A Siamese kitten appeared in our office which is separate from our home. She/he hides all day and comes out at night to eat, etc. The problem is: she/he hides in a place we can't get to her. It's been 6 days and my question is, should I set up a bed and sleep in the office at night hoping she/he will get used to me around at night? Any other helpful tips? She/he eats, drinks and uses the litter box great.
How long will a kitten stay hidden?
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoHeartburn question?
For all of you that have asked for remendies for heartburn, I have one that has worked for me.
I've had this problem for years day and night. I got on a site that said eat apples, any kind. I stopped my medications and chopped up an apple. I took 1/2 of a apple just before the onset of heart burn. It took 5 minutes to feel relief. My body tells me how much apple to eat.
After 4 days if I get a feeling of heartburn I just eat a couple slivers of apple and it's gone immediately.
I do keep apples by my bed side in case of the mid night attack.
So far, it's healing me. No more medications, Tums or anything else. And as of now, I don't have to eat apples every day.
4 AnswersPain & Pain Management1 decade agoWhat age do cats no longer need shots?
My daughter has two cats ages 6 years. They are all caught up on their shots. At what age does one stop the regular shots? Rabies we know will continue.

5 AnswersCats1 decade agoHow do I get my cats used to better canned foods?
I have two 1 1/2 year old cats who only seem to want Fancy Feast canned food. I started them out on this not knowing there are much better quality foods for cats. I guess Fancy Feast isn't too bad, middle of the road, but since one of my cats is a meat eater and not much dry food, I want him to have the best.
I have tried buying the best and they just turn up their noses, look at each other and walk away.
Any suggestions other than letting them starve and follow me all over the house. Their favorite spot is in front of the refrigerator waiting for Fancy Feast, or should I just give them Fancy Feast? My last cat lived to be 16 on it.
10 AnswersCats1 decade agoHas anyone tried Paul Newman's cat canned foods?
If so, please let me know how you cat liked it. It's pretty pricy but may be worth it? Also, I believe he has a dry food product.
3 AnswersCats1 decade agoHas anyone used dry cat food called "Taste of the Wild" ?
This was recommended at PetSmart because people have raved about it. My cats love it. It's a grain free food.
Formula with roasted Venison, smoked Salmon, also peas, sweet potatoes, fruits, ocean fish meal, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols, and many more ingredients and vitiamins. Taurine is 0.15% mimimun.
Next question for your answers: My one cat is only a meat eater since 4 months old when I got him from the shelter. I mix the dry food, I just mentioned above, with good canned food and he eats it.
Question: He still loves cooked chicken livers 3 times a week,
He also loves cooked turkey and chicken--he gobbles it up. He is not fat, but has always loved this kind of food.
He will sit in front of the refrigerator until he has his chicken or livers. He has to have it.
Is this okay in moderation?
Any comments on either or both comments.
6 AnswersCats1 decade agoDoes anyone know the approximate year Mono sodium Glutamate (MSG) was introduced into foods?
I'm just wondering how long I and my family have been exposed to this toxic ingredient. I thought it was only in Chinese foods and some grocery foods, now I'm aware many restaurants use it.
Did it go all the way back to the 40's, 50's or prior?
10 AnswersEthnic Cuisine1 decade agoAny opinions on BLUE spa select dry cat food?
First question:
How would you rate this brand in comparison to Nutro Natural Choice, Felidae and Chicken Soup, cat lover's sole dry foods?
They say it contains NO animal by products, corn, wheat or soy protein, also gluten-free.
Second question: Is corn, wheat and soy bad for cats?
I'm trying to find the best dry food and would sincerely appreciate any opinions you may have.
2 AnswersCats1 decade agoMy cat doesn't like dry food?
I've had him for 9 months now and at first he ate only a little dry food, but prefers wet. He was used to wet food at the shelter. Now I don't see him eating any dry food.
I'm mixing dry with wet, but he still is having a hard time with it. I have tried mixing broth or water and he just sucks up the liquid. I don't give him gravy wet foods for he does the same thing.
Please don't suggest taking away all wet food.
I give him Felidae dry, Nutro Natural Choice and Soup for Cat Lovers Sole. Any other dry food that would entice him to eat it, or any other suggestions. He needs to eat dry for his teeth.
11 AnswersCats1 decade agoI have questions about using raw cucumber for baggy eyes?
Raw cucumber is really working on my baggy eyes, the puffiness is disappearing, but the under eye skin seems to be becoming very dry. I leave the cucumber on for 20 minutes a day.
Questions:
1. Am I leaving it on too long?
2. Should I put on a mosterizer afterwards, like Shea Butter?
3. Should I make a cucumber paste and if so, what do I put in it?
Or any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

9 AnswersOther - Skin & Body1 decade agoDoes diverticulosis cause mid lower back twinges?
My husband has had lower mid back twinges when he moves or does anything physical that only last a few seconds. He has no twinges while resting.
He had a cat scan and it only came up with a mild case of diverticulosis. He was informed to not eat nuts, popcorn, seeds, etc. So far, the painful twinges have not stopped and he is wondering if it's something else.
Has anyone had twinges that are associated with diverticulosis?
3 AnswersPain & Pain Management1 decade agoCan Claritin, ingredient Loratadine, for allergies cause a rise in blood pressure?
My blood pressure is high and I'm wondering if it's the Claritin for allergies. I'm not finding out anything on line as this being a side effect. I'm not on any blood pressure medication, but have to watch my sodium and exercise to maintain.
Has anyone experienced this?
