How to discipline my cat from attacking a new cat?
My male cat is attacking our new little Siamese. They have seen each other for months through a window when she was in our outside room.
When we brought the new cat into the house, after 8 days, he started stocking her then attacking her. My concern is, she's very tiny, shy, and doesn't have the temperament of fighting and he's quite large. I'm afraid he will kill her.
We can't always separate them because she hides and we can't get to her and at night who knows what will happen.
My question is: what kind of discipline should we take with the male? Clapping our hands and saying no helps. A web site on pets suggested swatting him with a newspaper.
Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Swatting a cat with a newspaper?!? No way! He'll get to be afraid of you, resent the other cat even more & just be sneakier about it.
Physical discipline almost never works with cats.
If he's not actually hurting her give them time. That's how things naturally work best. Trust me... By all means, continue to verbally correct him.
Try to ignore her & give him all the attention.
When you're not home or sleeping separate them till you're comfortable all will be fine.

I think they will settle down if you leave them to get to know each other but you are there to jump in in=if the little one is getting hurt my older cat was very angry with our kitty now they sleep side by side with one eye open just in case but they are good friends now you will have some spitting and swiping but they will learn to respect each other it might sound worse than it really is

First of all, are they both fixed? Second, it was his home first so he has to make himself " Alpha Male". Third, is he mounting her ( trying to grab her from behind or from above her back)? Fourth, Don't discipline yet.
You has just disrupted their territories. He's probably going to try to straighten things out. Once he gets that set up, he might try to sex-against-her-will her. I hope you took her to a vet and are prepared for health issues for both of your cats.
