Has anyone tried Paul Newman's cat canned foods?
If so, please let me know how you cat liked it. It's pretty pricy but may be worth it? Also, I believe he has a dry food product.

I did look into them when I was trying to convert my cats from dry to canned. I'm sure I even tried one or two of the flavors. They ended up on the cutting room floor, but that's really no reflection on them.
I do believe these foods are a cut above what you find in the grocery store, but there's better out there. I mainly didn't care for the fact that they have rice as an ingredient. White or brown, it doesn't belong in cat food.
I have one cat with a very sensitive stomach so I have to be very careful.
How much are they? I'm paying $1.79 per can for Instincts and I KNOW that's high! If I were able to feed something that only cost $1 per can, I'd consider myself lucky.
But anyway, it's not bad food even if it's not one of the top brands (IMHO). And remember, you really do get what you pay for. Your cat doesn't need to eat as much when it eats quality food, and the ingredients go much much further to keeping them in good health which translates to lower vet bills.
EDIT: I check the prices on petfooddirect. They're charging about $1.16 for a 3oz can. That IS pricy! $1.34 for the 5.5 oz cans doesn't sound too bad (compared to my $1.79), but it's a bit much I think. I'm willing to bet you could do better. Why not consider one of the foods from my What to feed link?
I can't rattle off all their prices but it's easy enough to research.
Or try Natural Balance - I find them to be about 93cents per can. Much better! I used to feed that (the venison and green pea). It's a better food than good 'ol Paulie's!
