and does it work? does it make you feel drugged sleepy or otherwise not alert?

Update:

i have an imbalance thank you very much. i can't will it away. and l-theanine is an extract from tea that makes you feel calm only you don't have to drink tea & get full of caffeine. so unless you never drink tea in your life i guess you already took this "drug"

I use green tea extract every now and then, which contains the amino acid l-theanine. I've found that it's soothing and brightening at the same time.

If you want to stay the more naturalistic/supplement route (as opposed the pharmaceutical med route) you could also try either fish oil or flaxseed oil, 5-HTP (which is a precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin), taurine, gaba, and/or possibly inositol (sometimes called vitamin B-8). All are available at GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe. Herbal remedies could include ginseng, chamomile, kava kava, or valerian, though both kava kava and valerian aren't supposed to be too hot on your liver.

    Hope this helps!

I have never tried it, but I get anxiety really bad.

Most supplements do not have that much of an effect on a person, medication does, but not supplements. If its a vitamin (ive never heard of it but I dont really know my vitamins) then it should give you a bit more energy than you usually have, but not excessively.

skip the drugs and find the source of the anxiety. hit it head on with counseling and positive thinking.
