SWEET CHICKEN MEAT
I have a recurring (and rather disturbing) nightmare that Carrot Top is about to molest me. He's wearing a tight pink shirt with big veiny muscles popping out. He has black eyeliner, rouge and lipstick on. His hair is in big orange fluffy pigtails & he is holding a lollipop. I am at a carnival and there are plenty of people walking by, i should feel safe. He's gross and I want to walk away but I find that i can't talk or move and he is looking at me weird. As he lears at me i look around but can't get anyone's attention & they are all ignoring us. Then he gives me a big creepy carrot top grin and gets closer and closer. In the dream his cheek implants are HUGE, even bigger than they are in real life and i feel sick to my stomach as he leans in towards me. I look around and nobody seems to notice and i realize i am on my own, no one is going to help me. I feel a sense of impending doom before i wake up in a cold sweat.

1 AnswerMathematics8 years agoa 15 gram coin is placed on the rim of a turntable rotating at a rate of 15RPM...?
The radius of the turntable is .25 meters. Determine:
a) the centripetal force acting on the coin
b) when the turntable's rateis ncreased to 25RPM, the coin just begins to slip off. Determine the coefficient of friction (u) between the coin & the turntable.
***please note that i converted 15rpm into 1.571 rad/sec, and 25rpm into 2.618 rad/sec (required by my professor as a first step to solve the problems) so please use the rad/sec in the work shown.
===>note: I am not sure what formula to use to find "centripetal force" i used Ac=rw^2 but then realized that is to find centripetal acceleration, not centripetal force. pls help explain what formula to use/steps to take to find this centripetal force....once i have that i know to use f (force) = (u) * n (the normal) to find the coefficient of friction
2 AnswersPhysics8 years agoHow do i convert rads into revs?
I am working on a physics problem. I need to convert 15.71 rads into revs.
i did the following calculation: 15.71 rads x 1 rev/2 * pi rad = 24.68
however an online converter i used shows the answer as being 2.5 revs
I can not figure out what i am doing wrong. Can someone please help?
thanks :)
2 AnswersPhysics8 years agohow does one "prove" this algebraic rule...?
an nth index, radicand "a" to nth power = "a"
i understand that (for example) given the number 4 squared under a radicand, that is equal to simply the number 4 because the # of the index (2) matches the exponent (2)
I also understand that this works for any other number, so long as the exponent and index are the same......
What i need to know is how does one PROVE this rule? Please no number examples, i have plenty of those. I need to know how to actually prove the rule using "nth" rather than an actual numerical index/exponent, and "a" under the radicand. This is very tricky to me and although i know the rule to be true i have no idea how to "prove" it.
thank you in advance!!! :)
3 AnswersMathematics9 years agoare professors held to any standards as far as being consistent with their grading practices for students?
My Math professor is not grading equally for everyone.
after the first exam he did not curve it because 2 people got 100's. But he did allow anyone who got a D or who had failed the 1st test to take the test home, bring it back in a week later with the mistakes corrected, and he said he would add "up to 10 points" to their grade to boost their score up a bit.
My problem with him is that it turns out he lied to the class because i know that he added 30 points to my classmate's grade. she showed me her paper when he gave it back to her. She originally had a 67, now she has a 97 which is 2 points higher than i scored & one of the highest grades in the class. she went from a D to an A+. and last time i checked 67 + 10 isn't = 97, so where iare the other 20 points coming from???
Another thing that really bugs me is that most of the class couldn't bring their grade up even 1 point. Only the failures & D students got the opportunity. I feel so bad for everyone in between. Another acquaintance in class got a low C and wasn't allowed to get any extra points, she is stuck with her grade. He absolutely refused to let her do any extra credit or re-do any of her mistakes on the test. She would have been better off failing it, probably would have ended up with an A!
Now, I am not against letting people do extra credit or have some way to boost a low grade. I've been there most my life & i know the course isn't easy. I think he should allow it, but it shouldn't be only for select people. and I feel like 30 points is excessive. I think 10 points is reasonable. but you can't just be handed an A after getting a D, that is craziness!!! It's offensive to me, i worked so hard to get my grade. she bombed the test now is ranked higher in the class than me. I also think it was unfair for him to cut off the people that scored over a 70 and not afford them the opportunity to boost their grade. Why does he refuse to let anyone who has a low C get a higher grade? it's not like a low C is good, those people could have used a few points too.
I know, I have an A so i shouldn't care right? But i do. It's the principal of it. And it could affect me later. What if on the next test i get a C and am stuck with it but she fails and ends up with an A again? She could be at the top of the class in the end after nearly failing every exam.
My gut is telling me this is wrong and it's been nagging at me for days. Has anyone encountered a professor grading like this, and is there anything that can be done or can he really do whatever he wants? are we at his crazy mercy? please help.....
1 AnswerTeaching9 years agocan i break a tylenol with codeine 3 pill in half?
in the past i had nausea from tylenol with codeine after a surgery, not sure the strength. I have an arm injury and pretty nagging pain, so the doc prescribed cod #3. he told me the #3 isn't that strong and probably won't make me feel sick, but i think i'd prefer a half dose just in case.
The pills are not scoredis it o to break in half and jsut take a half dose>

5 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agofinancial troubles, need advice on early IRA withdrawals.....?
Need some advice on loans and cashing out IRA
i am unemployed and have been for a few months. I am looking for a job still, but now my lease is up & my boyfriend and i are moving to a new apt. in a few short weeks. I need to come up with around $1,500.00 FAST. even if i land a job tomorrow i probably won't earn enough $ in time.
SO..... i have an IRRA (i rolled over my 401k from a previous employer into the irra) that i can take an early withdrawal from but there is a 10% penalty on top of the 20% taxes they take out when you withdraw early. Do i have any other options? Is there a bank loan i can get being unemployed, or some other way i can handle this? can i maybe get a loan using my car as collateral or something like that? I have no idea what to do, i've never been in this type of situation and am DESPERATE for advice. thank you in advance to anyone willing to share some ideas with me :)
